I'm so happy! This morning we had the first bit of snow. When DH went out to scrape ice off the windscreen he took three pictures. It continued snowing the whole day so it is even more white outside. :-) But I think tomorrow it's melted away...

I'm still sewing on the beads to Christmas Heirloom Sampler but I will do a few stitches on Medieval Town Mandala tonight.

Hardanger is completed!!!

Thank you for all the nice comments on my Hardanger pics!!!! They motivated me so much!!!

There wasn't much stitching and internet time for me the last days. Nicolaus came to our babygroup on Wednesday and after that hubby and I went to a christmas party of our runninggroup. Thursday and Friday were booked out with similar dates.... Here's a pic of my Christmas Heirloom Sampler from Wednesday. Hardanger is completely done and it wasn't as difficult as I thought. My fear wasn't necessary at all :-)

I started to add the beads, lazy daisies and colonial knots from the bottom to the top. Maybe I can show a picture this evening. The only thing we have to do today is going shopping to buy some food and afterwards having dinner at my MIL.

Becky I'm sad that you have problems with some of the bands and would love to help you if I can but I'm not sure how to help you.... If you want me to help you please let me know!!!!!

Now I go and have a look on some blogs and leave some comments :-)))

Saturday, December 03, 2005

As you see, it seems as if I will get the hearts done without problems. It was even a bit of fun to do the wrapped bars with dove's :-) But I'm sure Hardanger will not be my favorite needlework in the future ;-)

No excuses any more ... smile to Anne :-))) All the algerian eyelets and foursided stitches are done. Now I have to start cutting the first threads. Please, keep your fingers crossed for me.
Hei Cindy, maybe you're right and it is really fun .... but I will decide this when the Hardanger is done ;-)

Tuesday, November 29, 2005

Here's a close up of the hardanger I'm working on. I will finish the satin stitches tonight and thought about what I will do next, cut the threads in the heart or do all the algerian eyelets. I decided to do the eyelets first....

Sunday, November 27, 2005

Today I was allowed to open my christmas exchange gift. I received this beautiful stocking ornament. It is stitched in cross stitch over one thread. It's so delicate and I really love it!!!! Thank you so much, Moni. :-))

Saturday, November 26, 2005

Thank you so much for your nice comments. I really love reading comments. It's great :-))))

Tonight I want to stitch the Lettering and maybe start the Hardanger part. Uhhhh, I'm so nervous when I think of the Hardanger part...

Thursday, November 24, 2005

I'm back to Christmas Heirloom Sampler. It's the first Sunday in Advent this weekend and I want to hang it on the wall as soon as possible. I must admit that I'm a bit anxious to do the hardanger part.....

I'm back in stitching mood :-)

I didn't do a single stitch the last 10 days... and I was in fear that the stitching mood won't come back. This happens to me once or twice a year and I don't know why this happens. Does this happen to you as well? Or am I alone with this?

I did some stitching on MTM and that is what it's looking now. I saw that Carol finished Part 2 of MTM. She is so fast and it is looking very good!!!

Tobie posted a pic for me showing the Leisure Arts books that include patterns from Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks. Thank you so much for sharing the pic. I hope to get the chance to buy these books.

Some of Lisa's Birthday pics

Thank you for all your good wishes to Lisa's birthday. :-)
Here are 3 pictures where you can see her unwrapping some of her birthday presents...it was really thrilling for her ;-)

Tuesday, November 08, 2005

Today is Lisa's 1st birthday!!!!

Wohooo! :-) I can't beleive that she is with us for a whole year now. Time passed by so fast....

She's still in bed.....strange....usually she wakes up between 4.45am and 5.30am. I think she decided that she's a big girl now and big girls don't get up that early. ;-))
I will post some pix of the birthdaygirl later.

Our neighbor comes for breakfast at 9.30am and we will have a nice chatty morning.... She has two children but they are in kindergarten and school. And in the afternoon our family comes to celebrate Lisa's birthday....

So there will be no stitching today....

Monday, November 07, 2005

last year in september I started stitching on the "Hagebutten-ABC" by Acufactum. This year in august I stitched the last letters. And finally I managed to sew the edges yesterday. I like it very much on our table in the hall.

Two more squares and the letters T & U

There wasn't much time for stitching during the day. We went to a flea market and after that we went to Delbrück, a small town near us. All the shops were open (this is not normal on sundays in germany) and music bands were playing. So we had a nice afternoon.

Now I'm going to stitch on Medieval Town Mandala for an hour or so....

Thursday, November 03, 2005

It's not much I stitched on MTM yesterday. Hubby and I were so tired that we went to bed at 8PM yesterday! I tried to read in bed but I couldn't keep my eyes open....

Today I'm stitching on Drawn Threads Gameboard Sampler to reach my goal (2 squares per week)

Wednesday, November 02, 2005

Now that part 11 is done we decided that everybody should to stitch as fast as possible till the hardanger border. And than we do that part together again. December isn't that far away anymore and we want it to be finished then.

Carol, I even stitched a bit on MTM yesterday but not very much....

I went to my running group again yesterday in the evening and I'm so glad I did it... I want to do running seriously again. When I was pregnant with Lisa I stopped running and after her birth I didn't managed to start again. And it will be the easiest way to loose the weight I put on during my pregnancy.

Cathy, I'm looking forward to your first WIP pic :-)

Tuesday, November 01, 2005

That's a pic I took today of my Gameboard Sampler by Drawn Thread. Cathy I would love to do a SAL with you. I haven't stitched that much that you couldn't catch up with me.

Karen thanks for your nice comment on my Autumn Needleroll start. I saw this Needleroll in your album when browsing the WWW for a better picture of this Needleroll and I fell in love with it :-)

Tonight I can't start part two of MTM...I want to finish part 11 of our Christmas Heirloom SAL first.

I'm sorry for all these different posts but I don't know how to get more than one picture per post using bloggerbot....
And this is the other one I got back from framing it's called Sommerlaune by Der Feine Faden as well. It's in tentstitch and I like it so much.... :-)
This is Kleines Dorf (little village) by Der Feine Faden a german designer. I got it back from framing a few days ago...
Here's the pic of Heart of Ireland by Victoria Sampler one of my birthday gifts for DH. He is half Irish and he loves it :-)

Monday, October 31, 2005

Yesterday it was hubbies birthday and I wanted to show you one of the gifts.... I made Victoria Sampler's Irish Heart for him. And there were two other pictures I got back from framing but the pics were too dark. So I have to wait till tomorrow to take new pictures. Last week, after I stitched 2 squares on the Drawn Thread Gameboard Sampler ( I want to stitch 2 squares each week now). And then I started this wonderful Eventide Autumn Needleroll. It fits exactly with my autumn feelings :-)

But now, while watching CSI I will stitch on my Christmas Heirloom Sampler. And I'm so anxious to get part 2 of the Chatelaine Medieval Town Mandala Chart :-))))

Part 9 and 10 of our SAL are finished. I've to wait till Saturday to stitch the next borders. While waiting for saturday ;-) I'll stitch a Christmas ornament for an exchange tonight. Of course I can't show it at the moment .-(

Scissors Keep back

A long time passed by since my last post ....but I want to thank you so much for your encouraging words. They are so much appreciated :-)

On Friday the 14th my friend Manuela visited me for two days and we finished our scissors keeps. They are completely made by hand and we had a lot of fund while sewing..... The one with the "S" on it is mine ;-)

Look what reverted today....

My ABC-RR was in the mail today. And I'm a bit annoyed how it looks. After all it took 2 years and 26 participants and I stitched on all of their Round Robins..... There are two good things: the fabric isn't damaged and the top stitches are all in the same direction.

I will never do again a Round Robin with people I do not know :-(

Wednesday, October 12, 2005

Cathy, yes the Christmas Heirloom Sampler is a design by Victoria Sampler and I love to stitch their designs!!! They are such a big fun with all these special stitches.

Here's an update on my MTM. It hasen't grown much lately but I will stitch on it today a bit...

WOHOOOW!!! Now I'm a Member of the Stitching Bloggers Exchange Board and looking forward to some wonderful exchanges though I haven't decided to participate in which ones yet. But I will sign up soon. :-)

Tuesday, October 11, 2005

I did only few stitching the last days. Lisa (DD) was 11 months old last sunday and her grandparents came for coffee. Yesterday Lisa and I went to babys swimming group. It's such a big fun for her. :)

But I managed to finish part 8 of Christmas Heirloom SAL. It's the last picture I'm able to scan because it's so large now the future pics will be photos...

Now I go back to stitch on MTM.... It's a bit tiring to stitch the flower beds....

Saturday, October 08, 2005

Part 6 and 7 of our CHS SAL are done.

Thanks to Carol! She helped me to find out why my MTM looks different to all the others... The bricks behind the fontain are two different colors but symbols look so similar that I didn't realized that there are two colors needed :-(((. Unfortunately it's too late to frog it because I sew some threads behind it.... Today I was so annoyed that I didn't stitch even one stitch on MTM.

First MTM WIP pic

Here is the first Medieval Town Mandala WIP pic. It's done yesterday after 6 days of stitching.

Besides to this one I do a few stitches every day on a cute christmas design for a winter exchange of one of my yahoo groups....

And today I'm goingt to meet a fellow stitcher to visit our LNS and eat a Pizza afterwards. So it will become a very nice day :-))

Becky, your bumblebee button box is georgous. I love it. I wish I could finish my stitching like you do......

Monday, October 03, 2005

I found a nice fabric for the lining of my This Too Shall Pass scissors case. Hopefully it's not too difficult to sew because it was a bit difficult for me to understand the sewing instructions. There were some expressions I don't understand....

Today I'm still stitching on Chatelaine Medieval Town Mandala.

Sunday, October 02, 2005

Halloweeeeeeeeeen .......

Thanks to KarenV, Cathy and BeckySC for their nice comments on my last post. I love to read the comments :-) Becky, would you mind to send me a link to a pic of your finished bumblebee button box?

From Wednesday 09/28 to Friday 09/30 I stitched this cute little Holiday Halloween by Drawn Thread and I plan to stitch Holiday Thanks this month.

Does anybody want to trade these Drawn Thread Designs: Holiday Tree, Holiday Hearts and Holiday Wreath ? I would love to make them as well but I don't have them in my stash yet..... :-(((

Friday in the evening Martina Weber send an email with the password for the first part of the Medieval Town Mandala and I immediately started stitching.... Unfortunately I'm still waiting for 3 Gloriana Threads to arrive and one of them is needed in the first part :-(

Wednesday, September 28, 2005

We are back from a wonderful holiday at the Baltic Sea. We had a great time and the weather was OK. We took a lot of time just relaxing and doing some biking tours in the beautiful scenery.

In the evenings and during the lazy days I did some stitching of course. :-)
The first thing I stitched was a lighthouse the ABC-RR I'm participating:

Then I stitched a small one for my little Lisa. Bent Creeks Dance of Bumblebee.....

....before I had to stitch Felix in New York for a fellow stitcher in Austria. She wants it as a big sampler for her son. I think it turned out very nice. It is now on it's way to the last stitcher before returning to Austria.

And last but not least I stitched part 4 and 5 of our Heirloom Christmas SAL.

Wednesday, September 07, 2005

Thank you!!!

I'm very happy about your nice comments about my pillow. Thank you so much. :-)

Today I didn't do much stitching because we're leaving tomorrow for our two weeks holiday *yippie* and I had a lot work left to do...

I only finished stitching a small gift but of course l can't show a picture before it reaches the addressee. I'll show you later

Tuesday, September 06, 2005

Pillow finished!!! Wooohoooooo!!!

Today I finished my Passé Composé heart into a pillow. It will fit very well into our hall. Usually it takes a long time till I get out my sewing machine and finish my stitching... But I promised to better myself :-)

Yesterday in the evening I stitched Band 4 and 5 which means part 3 of our SAL. It's such a big fun to stitch it never becomes boring. And the special stitches are very well explained.

I don't know if there will be some time for stitching tomorrow. I have to pack all the things for our holiday trip starting on Thursday.

This Shall Too Pass

stitching is done today. :-) and I like it very much how it turned out. Now I have to buy some fabric for the lining. But I don't know if I will get one before leaving to the baltic sea. By the way the wheather is very fine at the moment :-) I hope it will not change during our two weeks holiday......

I read the sewing instructions but I'm not sure if I understood everything. I have a few sewing experience so I will get it done anyway.....I hope so ;-)

got some Ebay-Stash

yesterday I got my ebay stash. It's Victoria Sampler February Needleroll and Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornament Issue from 1990. These older issues are OK but not that good as the newer ones....

Thursday, September 01, 2005

Wohooo....it's finally done!!!!!

I stitched Drawn Threads Random Thougts from October 2004 - April 2005 and got the bellpulls just in time after finishing the stitching. But then I put it away ..... and today I finally attached the charms. Wohooooo. It's a real shame that it was in a cupboard for such a long time.....
I really love the Drawn Thread designs, aren't they wonderful?
